iQOO 15 India Release: Top Gaming Phone With Ray Tracing & Fast Charging

iQOO has made an announcement confirming the arrival of the iQOO 15, its newest premium smartphone, in India on November 26, 2023, through a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India. The smartphone that is going to be released in India will incorporate Vivo’s Android 16-based OriginOS 6 interface, which means the users will get to experience the new software.

Before the launch, the microsite of Amazon India, dedicated to the new phone, has been opened to present the main features would be. The iQOO 15 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which is the same as the one that was launched in China on October 20. It is anticipated that Indian users would have access to the equivalent hardware, although the configurations may vary slightly.

Gaming and Performance Features

The iQOO 15 is made targeting gamers in general. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor is complemented by a Q3 computing chip, which is likely to deliver even better gaming performance, allowing for full-scenario ray tracing and frame stability. A report by The Mint states that the smartphone also features a single-layer 8K vapour cooling chamber plate, responsible for efficient heat dissipation over long periods of gaming or multitasking.

The phone offers a large 6.85-inch AMOLED display that features a 2K resolution and a 144Hz rate when it comes to refreshes. The maximum brightness will be around 6000 nits, which will enable the screen to remain clear even in direct sunlight outdoors.

The iQOO 15 has 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, with the internal storage options being 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB UFS 4.1, so there will be no lack of space for the installation of apps, media files, and games.

The imaging capabilities of the iQOO 15 are led by a 50MP triple rear camera configuration, which consists of a standard sensor, a periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide sensor. On top of that, there is a 32MP selfie shooter on the front, which guarantees good pictures.

The phone has a hefty battery of 7,000mAh that comes with an ultra-fast flash charging of 100W and a wireless charging of 40W.

The Amazon microsite is active, and the launch date is already set, thus creating a lot of excitement about the iQOO 15 in India. The smartphone will be similar to OnePlus, Xiaomi, Vivo, and OPPO flagships in terms of high-end performance and gaming feature.
